Allego is looking for a Strategic IT Buyer.

The job

As a Strategic IT Buyer, you are a key element to ensure the procurement of the entire IT commodity. This includes IT Services (Software) Development, Cloud Solutions, ERP systems and Office Automation including telephony. You are responsible to conduct market research and Request for Quotation (RFQ) tracks. Your solid IT knowledge allows you to liaise with the Allego IT Manager and key IT specialists to determine their IT technical & IT services requirements. You comfortably convert the Allego specifications into firmly negotiated agreements our existing and new suppliers. This includes solid and detailed Service Level Agreements with premium suppliers. Furthermore you bring an excellent understanding on all key legal negotiation aspects of IT supplier contracts. As a result your achievements significantly contribute to a reduction of cost (Capex / Opex), warrant highest available uptime performance and at no legal risk. Other responsibilities include:

  • Implement, maintain and optimize the Software Asset Management processes & activities;
  • Organize the Tactical and Strategic supplier management activities including KPI scorecards with all premium IT suppliers;
  • Define & execute IT Sourcing strategies in close collaboration with the Manager IT;
  • Organize internal IT supplier benchmark sessions with key stakeholders;
  • Support our IT Service Development and Sales teams in the realization of back-to-back agreements for IT services supplied to Allego’s key customers;
  • Conduct all compliance activities in relation to the ISO 27001 and other IT audits as part of the Allego Quality Management system. This includes specific topics such as Data Security, Privacy and CSR policy;
  • Prepared to act as a back-up for the junior buyer in the execution of necessary contracts administration and operational purchasing activities.

Your profile

Because of the fast-paced (international) environment, flexibility, ability to multi-task and a pro-active attitude are key. Deadlines bring the best out of you and let your result-driven personality excel. You show ownership and team-spirit in your day-to-day work, an eagerness to learn and ambitions to grow. You also bring:

  • A commercial bachelor degree; Preferably combined with Information Technology;
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in IT cloud services / licensing / systems implementation & maintenance / office management & telephony;
  • Excellent knowledge of licensing models and cost price calculations of IT services;
  • Excellent negotiation skills with multinational IT suppliers;
  • Proven experience with IT legal contracts negotiations;
  • Proven experience in the creation and implementation of Service Level Agreements;
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor on IT Services business case decisions presented to (senior) Allego management;
  • Flexibility to work at all levels of procurement activities: complex & strategic, tactical operational and occasionally administrative;
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, fluently in Dutch and English;
  • Experience in procurement is an advantage, but not required.
